Designed between 1862 and 1872, Isidora Cousiño Park is one of Chile’s great historic landscapes and the country’s only French-style park on the coast.
Its paths connect gardens, sculptures, ornamental buildings and viewpoints overlooking the Gulf of Arauco and the industrial landscape that shaped Lota’s history.

The main entrance anticipates the monumental character of the visit. Its ornamental gate, white pillars and two lions form one of the most recognizable images of Isidora Cousiño Park.
Living history
From a family gift to Chilean heritage.
Luis Cousiño Squella conceived the park as a gift for his wife, Isidora Goyenechea. British landscape designer Bartlet planned the gardens in the French style.
Isidora took charge of the park and hired Irish technician Guillermo O’Reilly to modify several areas and introduce new plantings. She managed it until her death in 1898.
The palace built later was demolished after damage caused by the 1960 earthquake. The park remained a Lota landmark and was declared a Historic Monument in 2009.

Special rates
Youth aged 6–17, students, teachers and senior citizens: $2,500 CLP, with valid proof where applicable.

Lota Community
General admission: $2,000 CLP. Proof of birth or residence in Lota is required.
